NERIM is currently operating from three premises namely, Padma Nath Sarmah Bhawan at Beltola, Parukutty Bhawan at Nabin Nagar and MDRCC at Mangala Nagar, Mangaldoi . The Padma Nath Sarmah Bhawan is situated in an area of 3 acres of land, Parukutty Bhawan has an area of 1/2 acre of land and Mangaldoi Campus is spread over 11 acres of land respectively.
The Padmanath Sarmah Bhawan Campus has multi-storey RCC buildings designed for institutional purpose for conducting Post Graduate and Under Graduate programmes. The premises is well equipped with Lecture halls, Conference halls and state-of-the-art Computer Laboratories for conducting regular classes on both theory and practical, Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and Staff Developments Programmes etc.
The Institute has a library enriched with around 30000 books on Management, Computer Science, Law, Tourism and Allied subjects of Indian and Foreign publications. The Library subscribes around 55 numbers of journals including International Journals and Periodicals viz. Harvard Business Review, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Vikalpa, Indian Journal of Industrial Relations, Finance India etc. to name a few.
At present, NERIM has three well equipped Computer Labs having more than 350 latest configured machines with 3 servers, which offer state-of-the-art computing facilities to the students with 1:1 ratio for student and computer. All machines are connected by Wi-Fi with 24 hours Internet facility. The Laboratories provide ample time and opportunity to the students for gaining practical efficiency in this field.
NERIM has six separate well furnished hostels for Boys and Girls with transportation facility to and fro between respective hostels & NERIM campus. Added to it NERIM has developed a well furnished 300 capacity Girls Hostel within the college campus for homely accommodation.
NERIM has transportation facilities for the students studying in the Institute. NERIM offers Bus service to and fro between respective hostels & NERIM campus. The students who are not staying at hostels may also avail the facility of the Bus Service. However, the students are to bear a minimum fee for its service.
Visits to industrial establishments and production sites are arranged for the students to give them an opportunity to acquire first hand knowledge and practical insight into the working of an organization. Students are required to submit write-ups and make presentations in the class, which promote team spirit and learning among themselves.
Experts and psychologists pay special attention to the personality development of the students. Emphasis is given to improve the communication skills, analytical approach, and reasoning and decision making abilities of the students. Meditations and Yoga classes are also arranged to enhance their concentration power and develop their spiritual aspects.
Faculty Development Programme |
The institute is actively involved in nurturing its human resources by deputing faculty members in the various faculty development programmes in the field of Computer Science and Management and its allied disciplines. The faculty members are deputed for staff development programmes at the leading national institutes like IIM’s, IIT’s, ISI’s, XLRI’s, MDI’s etc to upgrade their knowledge. Apart from it, NERIM is also conducting Staff Development Programmes (SDP) sponsored by AICTE and other Institutes to enhance the knowledge of its faculty members. Experts from leading Universities and Technical institute’s of the country deliver their lectures in SDP Programmes.
A student admitted into any programme at NERIM can avail Educational Loan from various banks subject to the fulfillment of the banks’ terms and conditions. NERIM has signed MoU with Central Bank of India for easy access and single window facility for student loan. |
