BA.LL.B (Hons.) 5 - Year Integrated Duration
: Five Year Full Time ABOUT THE COURSE BA.LL.B (Hons.)
5-year Integrated course has been introduced by Dibrugarh University from the
academic session 2006-07. The Dibrugarh University stands pioneer in the entire
North Eastern Region for introducing the 5 year BA.LLB(Hons.) degree programme.The
course curriculumof thisBachelorDegree has been designed and formulated by the
University with high standards and in consonance with the broad based principles
prescribed by the Bar Council of India. Some important information
regarding the course has been given below which, however, is subject to themodification
by theUniversity fromtime to time. The duration of the 5 year
integrated BA.LLB (Hons) degree course shall be for a period of five academic
years. Each academic year is divided into two semesters. The 5-year
Integrated BA.LLB (Hons) degree course is full-time course and no student will
be allowed to pursue any other course simultaneously. The admission
of a student can be cancelled at any stage if found guilty of violating the Rules
prescribed by the University. The students of Fourth Semester BA.LLB
(H) shall have to appear in the compulsory paper Environmental Studies
for totalmarks of 100. OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
To develop the students to understand the significant role played by the juridical
study in the formation of a healthy society. To provide an access to
the students in developing their ability of communication, critical thinking and
creativity and to understand and evaluate information of law inculcating human
dignity. To provide the academic platformfor higher studies in legal
learning. AFFILIATION & APPROVAL The 5 year integrated
BA.LLB(H) programis conducted at NERIM Law College under the prescribed regulations
and syllabi of Dibrugarh University.The program is duly approved by the Bar Council

20 | As per University Regulations,
a student of 5-year integrated Lawcourse shall undergo a 20week internship and
maintain an internship diary for the entire course . ELIGIBILITY
For
admission into the Five-Year integrated BALLB (Hons.) Programme, a candidate shall
have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination
securing 45% in aggregate, provided that there shall be a relaxation of 5% marks Breitling Bentley Replica
for SC/ST and 3% for OBC candidates. Selection for admission into the Five-year Integrated
BA.LLB(Hons.) Course at NERIM Law College under Dibrugarh University shall be based
on interview and counselling. A student of BA.LLB(H) 5 year integrated programme
shall have to attend minimum 80% of total classes in each paper to be eligible to
appear in each semester end examination.
N.B.: Eligibility criteria and
other procedure such as for Admission and Examination is subject to change fromtime
to time as per the notification of the University. SELECTION PROCEDURE Selection
for admission into the Five-year Integrated BA.LLB(Hons.) Course at NERIM Law
College under DibrugarhUniversity shall be based on interviewand counselling. REQUIREMENT
OF CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE A student of BA.LLB(H) 5 year integrated programme
shall have to attend minimum 80% of total classes in each paper to be eligible
to appear in each semester end examination N.B.: Eligibility criteria and

time to time as per the notification of the University. . EXAMINATION
(AS PER REGULATIONS OF DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY)
Examination consists of
continuous internal assessments through sessional examinations, home assignment,
seminars and viva-voce etc. and the end semester examinations ordinarily held
at the end of every semester with odd semester examination in December and even
semester in June every year.
AWARD OF DEGREE:
A candidate must pass all his/her semester examinationswithin 8 years in 5 year
integrated Law Degree course from the date of admission into the 1st semesterto
be eligible for the degree of BALLB(H). |
