                              Total no. of papers =20 (Five Papers in each Semester)

 

Specializations Offered:

As per Regulation of the Gauhati University for M.com, a student shall have to opt dual specialization. A student admitted in NERIM shall be required to opt any one of the following group:
Group A: Accounting & Finance
Group B: HR Management & Marketing

 

Eligibility for M.Com Course:

A student with B.Com Degree from Gauhati University or any other university recognized by Gauhati University shall be eligible provided such students is
• B.Com in the 10+2+3 pattern with Major Course in the Subject.

• B.Com in the 10+2+3 pattern with at least 40% marks in aggregate in General Course.

• B.Com with specialty as prescribed by the concerned university.

 

Admission and its Procedure:

Admission to M.Com 1st Semester shall be made strictly on Merit. Preference will be given to candidates having Major/Honours/Speciality Course in the concerned subject in order of merit. However, if NERIM desires admission may be made through written test or Personal interview subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria prescribed by the University.

 

• Application for admission into the NERIM Commerce College shall be made in the prescribed application form issued by the NERIM on payment of requisite fees.

• Admission is made as per provision of the prescribed Regulation of the Gauhati University. However, there shall be an admission committee whose decision for admission shall be final.

• Admission into college is STRICTLY IN ORDER OF MERIT AND SHALL BE GOVERNED BY ADMISSION RULES ISSUED BY THE NERIM IN COMPLIANCE TO THE REGULATION OF GAUHATI UNIVERSITY.

 

  • Candidates are required to produce at the time of interview the original copies of-

(a) Mark sheet of the last qualifying examination.
(b) Age proof certificate
(c) Character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
(d) Caste certificate from competent authority wherever necessary.
(e) Students passing the qualifying examination earlier than the current year will have to submit a Court Affidavit (Candidates having more than one year gap will not be eligible for admission).

  • No application form shall be accepted after the last date as notified earlier and any incomplete application form will stand automatically cancelled.

• Admitted students shall be required to give an undertaking in the prescribed form in regard to compliance of the Rules, Regulations and Order issued by the University and NERIM authority from time to time.
• A selected candidate for admission into M.Com Course shall be admitted provisionally. However, there admission shall be required to regularize by the University. 


M.Com Syllabus New Structure(w.e.f. July-August, 2014)

The course structure for M.Com Course w.e.f. August 2014 will be as below.
There will be 20 papers including one dissertation in the M.Com Course. In each semester there will be five papers of 80 marks each and there shall be 20 marks for internal assessment. Paper No.3.15 Dissertation shall be of 100 marks and there will be no internal assessment marks for this paper.
