About the course :
M.Sc. Computer Science is a 2-year program catering to the needs of people Breitling Navitimer Replica interested in the field of computers. Candidates pursuing this course are provided with an opportunity to develop core competence in the field of computer science and encourages them to make a mark in IT industry. The course is introduced during the academic session 2018-19 under the affiliation of Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati.

1. The main objective of this course is to hone the skills of computer science enthusiasts in the various thrust areas of the field.
2. To provide the students with the perfect amalgamation of theory as well as practical knowledge of the topics related to latest developments in Computer Science.

4. To enable good computer operational practices.
AFFILIATION :
The 2 year full time M.Sc. Computer Science at NERIM School of Computer Science is conducted as per the prescribed regulations and syllabi of ASTU. The course is run in CBCS mode.

Syllabus and Course Description
M.Sc. Computer Science Program structure is a rigorous mix of several theory exams, assignments, practical, laboratory work, and project works. The assessment in the program is based on both theory and practical papers. The weightage for theory papers is 70% and for practical papers is 30%. The course also requires students to complete a dissertation and a project on a related topic. The weightage for dissertation and project is 100%.

REQUIREMENT OF CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE

A student of M.Sc. CS (2 year programme) shall have to attend minimum 75% of total classes in each paper to be eligible to appear in each semester end examination.

EXAMINATION SYSTEM (As per ASTU Regulations)
(a) The semester examination shall be divided into two groups:Odd semester: First andThird ; Even Semester: Second and Fourth.
(b) The semester examinations will be conducted by the ASTU during the month of May-June for second and fourth and during the month of Nov-Dec for First and Third semesters.
(c) To be eligible to appear in the M.Sc CS End Semester Examinations as a regular candidate, a student must attend 75% of the lectures delivered during the academic session. A student who attends at least 60% of the lectures delivered shall, however, be allowed to appear in the Examination as a non-collegiate candidate on payment of a prescribed fee.
